Welcome to Webtasm Big Bear Valley courtesy of Webtasm.

It's March 15, 2011, and Cody and I spent the afternoon circling the lake and taking some shots of the Valley. Roll your mouse over the thumbnails to see them in full view.

This is the view of the Fawnskin Bridge from the downstream side, criss-cross across the creek from the Fawnskin Post Office. The triple arch bridge is gorgeously hand-crafted, the water was high, and the trout were spawning. We spent alot of time watching the fish and taking pictures from various angles.
This is the view of the Fawnskin Bridge from the other side, upstream and across the creek from the Fawnskin Post Office. On this side of the bridge is a calmer pool where the trout were relaxing after their struggle to get through the bridge to spawn.
This shot of San Gorgonio was taken from a secluded, elevated spot in between Windy Point and the dam. We still have a lot of snow up here! Wouldn't you just love to ski (or board) down that hill! It can be done at the right time of year with some hiking. I believe you need a permit to do it, though. I will check on that.
